Print Titles

Once a South Carolina lien has been satisfied (paid off), the electronic title can stay in electronic form until a paper title is requested. A lienholder with an active South Carolina e-title may request a printed paper title from the South Carolina DMV at any time through the South Carolina ELT system. The printed South Carolina title may also be requested at the time of releasing the lien. Likewise, the lienholder's customer may request a printed title at a local South Carolina DMV tag agency office.

Each request for a printed title requires a digital signature and confirmation to ensure that electronic titles don't get printed accidentally. If you give employees access to your South Carolina ELT account, you can restrict their ability to request printed titles.
